Time, Gentlemen, Please!

A Random Event Production

“Time, gentlemen, please!”

A common refrain, said every night in pubs across the United Kingdom.

No more alcohol can be sold; the patrons need to finish their drinks and get a move on. They don’t have to go home, but they can’t stay here.

However, tonight, in this, the Garibaldi Hotel, things are different.

The storm raging outside feels unearthly, violent enough that the front door has been bolted, top and bottom, to protect those within. Inside, in a bar that hasn't changed since 1940, you can feel safe.

“Now I’m afraid with that going on out there, I can’t in good faith allow anyone to leave. I can’t serve any more alcohol, sorry, licence doesn’t allow that, but I’ll happily serve other stuff. You’re welcome to hang around until that passes.”

As if to drive home the danger the storm represents, a crash of thunder and a flash of lightening occur simultaneously, leaving some to think they saw things out there, in the raging storm. But that would be silly, obviously they’ve had too much to drink. Nothing human could survive out there, on a night like this.

A Freeform for 18 to 20 patrons and staff, stuck in a perfectly normal British pub when the weather refuses to allow them to leave.

Due to the nature of the premise, there exists the possibility for certain unwelcome behaviours. As a result, we wish to make it clear to all players that there is no sexual-assault written into the game, and none will be tolerated in play.
